Alright since you all know I love to read so I am currently reading book two in the Wicked years, Son of a WITCH. So if anyone has read this series lets talk about it...I must admit that after listening to the Wicked soundtrack for years now but never haven seen the Musical I was actually surprised at the story line. Not dissapointed but I guess I had a story in my head based on the music that is infact different from the book. I am half way done with the second novel and will promptly begin the third but just wanted to hear how someone else felt that has read the series.

Yeah, I started reading the first book, Wicked, and it was alright, but kind of annoying at the same time. I agree the musical is not so much like the actual novel. There were alot of liberties taken and I only read the first quarter of the book so I can imagine how different it must be. I found the characters to be frustratingly difficult to like and I just couldn't read anymore of it. However, since you're reading about Oz here is something you might like to check out. Click here.
What do you think about that? ^

Yeah I read both "Wicked" and "Son of a Witch." I was surprised at the differences in story too but when I saw the musical I realized the writer/director had just taken lots of liberties with the story. I've not yet read the third installment; I don't know if I will since it's been so long I don't remember the intricacies of the storyline. I do want to read some of the other books he's written, like the one about Cinderella(?).
Hey Xoch if you haven't checked them out yet you should look into the books trueblood is based off of, the Sookie Stackhouse novels. I think you'd like them.
